About Our Camp
Camp Wannakumbac is a camp
which combinesthe best of old
camping traditions with new
approaches to help meet the
needs of today's youth. So yes,
our campers go canoeing on Clear
Lake, practice their archery
skills, and tent overnight.
But they also have a chance
to study our ecosystem and to
see whether they have a flair
for drama.
Our camp has both modern
amenities like comfortable heated
cabins and showers as well as
160 acres of wilderness for
boys and girls aged 8-15 to
explore. Our counsellors and
staff are both experienced and
well-trained. Our programming
is both action-packed and age
appropriate. And unlike other
summer activities, we deliver
a camping experience with a
price tag within reach of most
families.
We believe that each child
can learn a lot and grow as
an individual after just one
week at Wannakumbac. And our
track-record since we first
opened our doors in 1948 to
kids from across Manitoba and
Canada, charts that success
with both smiling faces and
fond memories of good times
at Wannakumbac.
It's a tradition we are proud
of and one which continues to
earn praise from both campers
and their parents.
Sponsored with pride by the following organizations: Manitoba's Credit Unions, Dairy Farmers of Manitoba, Keystone Ag. Producers, Federated Co-operatives, Manitoba Elks Association Foundation, The Co-operators and Co-op Hail Insurance.
