The Importance of a Donation

One in four Manitoba children live below the poverty line and have fewer opportunities to experience the things most kids and families take for granted. This means they could miss out on the great things summer camp can bring to kids: the experience of the great outdoors, the fun of playing and learning in a casual welcoming environment, the chance to socialize with new camp friend, trying new activities and growing independent and confidant in themselves. 

When you make a donation to the Sunshine Fund, you can be assured that 100 percent of that donation will be going to send a child to camp. None of our donations are used for any administrative costs.

Have you considered naming the Manitoba Camping Association/Sunshine Fund as the beneficiary of an endowment, bequest, or life insurance policy? You can also support the mission and goals of our organization with a non-cash gift such as property or securities.

Did you know that the Manitoba Camping Association/Sunshine Fund had an endowment fund established through the Winnipeg Foundation for this specific purpose to ensure the long-term commitment of the Sunshine Fund to send children to camp? You do have the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of Manitoba children and youth that do  not have the financial means to attend an Accredited Manitoba Summer Camp.
