About Our Camp
Come to Manitoba Pioneer Camp for an experience you will never
forget! We are renowned for our out-tripping and canoeing
program developed by Bill Mason, famous Canadian canoeist and artist.
Our rustic setting on two Lake of the Woods islands is a perfect
getaway from the distractions of everyday life.
Most of our camps are single gender, and with longer camp sessions,
small cabin groups, and adult leadership providing a family atmosphere,
campers and parents can feel safe and excited about the new friendships
and memories that will be made at Pioneer. Campers of all denominations
and faiths are welcome; we strive to provide a non-threatening
environment where campers and staff can explore the Christian faith and
encounter God in the midst of Creation.
We specialize in leadership development at Pioneer Camp. Our
Leaders in Training programs will stretch young adults to their limits
as they learn more about themselves and how be a leader not only at
camp, but in all areas of life. Many campers come back year after year, participate
in the LIT program, and then continue coming to camp as staff members.
Pioneer Camp also runs the Wildwise program, which provides custom
canoe trips to outside groups. Finally, our islands are
available at certain times of the year for rentals and outdoor
education school groups.
