About Our Camp

The YMCA-YWCA of Winnipeg believes that everyone regardless of race, creed, gender or financial circumstance should have the opportunity to take part in our programs. The YMCA-YWCA Campership Fund is available to anyone requiring financial assistance to make this experience possible. Please contact our office for further information.

YMCA-YWCA Camp Stephens is located on Copeland Island in Lake of the Woods, Ontario. We are entering our 120th season of offering quality outdoor camping experiences for youth. We strive to build a better world – one child at a time. To do this, we believe that there must be a holistic approach to learning: in spirit, mind and body. Camp is a magical experience where campers are granted independence in a safe and supervised environment. This responsibility helps to create a true sense of success and self-confidence in children. We believe that this increased self-esteem will help campers to become strong and contributing members of society.

Our site accommodates up to 200 campers and 70 staff. In the spring and fall we run Outdoor Education programs for a wide variety of schools and accommodate rental groups on weekends. For more information on Outdoor Education and rental opportunities, please contact our camp office.
