About Our Camp

Offering two camp programs; Cowboy Camp a day program for campers aged 5-10, and Equestrian Camp for girls ages 10-17, Tumbleweeds Ranch is located in Manitoba’s Interlake just outside of the community of Fraserwood. Surrounded by beautiful forests, meadows and streams the camp is a true ranch experience for young people wanting to explore and achieve new horsemanship goals.

Dedicated to teaching young campers more about themselves and simplifying the mysteries of equine psychology in a safe, challenging and fun way, our CHA certified horsemanship instructors and staff members run a 30 member herd and cuddly petting zoo in an organized, safety-oriented park-like setting.

Our camp sessions are designed to be small with a maximum staff member to camper ratio ensuring optimum one-on-one attention to enable our campers in reaching their goals and enjoying a positive, enriching experience. Staff members are trained to provide positive leadership encouraging all campers to participate in healthy team based activities like scavenger hunts, orienteering, mentoring workshops, arts & crafts, meal planning challenges and more.

In addition to our summer camp program, we also rent our facilities to groups, schools, families and other organizations looking to try a new experience and learn to ride and care for our equine friends and challenge themselves in the process.
