About Our Camp

A unique camping program that provides encouragement and growth for children with type 1 diabetes, assisting them in becoming independent in their diabetes regime. Campers are supported by a selected medical team and camp counsellors who help young people learn the importance of physical education and emotional well-being while living with type 1 diabetes.

Camp Briardale offers a 6-day, 5-night camping experience for children with type 1 diabetes, ages 8-16. Campers will take part in activities that inspire personal growth, team building and appreciation of the outdoors. While at Camp Briardale campers can enjoy the various activities offered at Roseau River Bible Camp. Swimming, archery, ropes course and zip-line are only a few of the awesome activities available to enjoy! Camp Briardale encourages children with type 1 diabetes to become independent in their diabetes regime while having fun in a safe and supportive environment.
